A retrospective of 12 videos covering four years of the festival. The pleasure of seeing again, finding inspiration this time, in the themes developed in each of these films. In contrast to the titles used to mark the different selection programmes, of the abstract character attests only to the necessity of assembling the films in a coherent fashion, Don't kill Hollywood is the fruit of a play on association. The memoir of two readings, James Ellroy and Cormac McCarthy, are grafted onto the choice of images and their sequence. The bodies are, one after the other, penetrated, killed, betrayed, dead: or engaged in the repetition of movement and the image. They are often feminine. We don't cut.

I was shooting in a slaughter-house, featuring the muslim rituel. It was hard and natural, it was complexed to understand but in the same time I try to understand this I began to understand me. And by the strength of random, I fell on a little village, near the slaughter-house whose name is mine.self-productionself-distributionFestival 2003 [ pr. space ]clip Sans titre3mn30 b/w stereo 2004 Franceby Céline ClottesThis video Installation designed to ravel in loop, tries to expose a time which passes. The aesthetic simplicity of the image, the tiny action are there as well as possible to expose time in its unfolding more believed. Here it is the daily newspaper which is let see. The loop made up of 112 numerical photographs, represents somebody who passes from the position upright, of a half-turn then of one return to the position lying. Horizontal representation of a time dial, one day standard in its destitution...

Ohio is known for many things: the Amish, 19th Century farms, humidity, and small towns. Other little knows attractions include an annual parade of twins from all over the world, a live bait dispenser machine that competes with Pepsi for your dollar, the Longaberger Company World Headquaters...self-productionself-distributionFestival 2004 [ pr. space ]clip Saturation8mn color stereo 2000 USAby Kara HearnKara Hearn explores the intersection of body and mind with technology and information overload by documenting the "natural" and personal lanscape of urban dreams and reality.self-productionself-distributionFestival 2001 [ pr. time ]clip Le 2 or seiryoku zenyo2mn40 color stereo 2003 Switzerlandby Chantal RomaniTwo girls prepare for their fight. By removing the caracter from Hichcock’s all-too-memorable "shower scene", the figure is eclipsed by its own shadow generated by digital algorithms. The interplay between absence and presence turns this shower into something at once familiar and foreign, quiet and deadly.self-productionself-distributionFestival 2004clip pater noster3mn40 color stereo 2001 Germanyby Steph KetelhutFour vertical bands with the tone cold and intercalated heats, consisted of labels, appear and disappear in shifted rates/rhythms.
