sadescription Images
3mn50   b/w   mono   2001   France
by Pierre-Yves Cruaud
Two points of view of the same series of shots, are presented through two different frames. Sculptures come to life, while humane face tries to fit in between them. The research of a true point of view interrogates the images of this video. A vibratory movement, with different rhythms, crosses the two screens and provokes a sparkling of the images. By exploring different levels of visibility, an interrogation about the persistence of vision is constructed. Are we nearer to the images or to their deletion.

sadescription Light Study No. 1 : "Pitch"
5mn30   color   mono   2001   Australia
by Kirsten Packham
I had been listening to glitch music, and I liked the way that every particle of the sound had attention paid to it, had sigifiance - I wanted to try to do the same thing in the video track. When using the camera, I was drawn to luminosity - to me light has qualities very similar to pitch and tonality of sound and I wanted to make a piece which depicted this correlation... I manipulate the material that has more to do with the final work than the source of the sonic or visual material.
