A human habitat, cars, roads, a church, factories, etc,—some of the epitomizing elements of [re]development are inadvertently situated together at the edge of this nameless city in South Korea. “Modernization” in the form of eradication has been our virtue during the latter half of the last century. The “new” prevails over everything, hence, the imminent death of the small rice field. This is an accolade to the being that represents perseverance.

Agricola de Cologne
The experimental film tells the story of a homeless person, who lost its identity in all the traumatic experiences it was undergoing. Again, Agricola de Cologne uses the form of the allegorical representation for pointing to essential questions of human existence. All people are homeless in on or the other way, most however, suffer from it without being aware of it. The film is a mirror of our time which has lost its roots.

It isn’t absurd that the death being reflect in the human defects/faults? Humans, humans, what is that? Absurds, in an absurd world. Fashion death plays with the cult of the image, the physical apparence and herself. Fashion death is metaphoric and pardoxical, dark and funny, inanimated and human. If you are unhappy with your figure during the centuries and you are immortal, you kill yourself? And if your are mortal, divine and cool you will extinguish anyway,....

In Rome, policemen are all around in the city. Each tourisitic site has its own security staff, to compfort the visitors, but also to frighten them. The title of this video refers to Berlusconi's party (forza italia) and to playmobil, because their uniforms remind me of this child's games. Through individual portraits I draw a collective one. Behind their uniform, men and women play their role. Through a wider angle, this series allows me to refer to man and its loss of singularity.

Presently it is a city occupied by a larger and diversified population that have altered completely the landscape in a few decades. Cinema and dream are both the most frequent relations we have with illusions and lies. Dream reconstitutes the world, and cinema "the daydream" interprets the appearance of things. Art and cinema, the means through which dream finds its way back to reality, art and dreams, also lies that tell the truth. In The "Odyssey" (canto IX), Ulysses, called "the prince of the liars" starts the story of his journey. Coming from the oral tradition, The Odyssey bears the mark of an archaïc dream, that of the impossible and constantly postponed return to one' own or the object of one's desire. The trace of a wandering among one's dreams and lies. Lies and dreams as beneficial products and medium of the "roaming of our senses".

"Not Enough Night" is a swan song for bygone hipsters, who longed for more "life" amid the coming storm of the post-World War II suburbs, shopping malls and the lonely existence of the solitary consumer. This tape commemorates the passing of the fiftieth year since the publication of "On the Road."

In the city. Driving the ring road. In a recovery room. In a state of exhaustion. The half-heard sounds. The ideas on the periphery.

by Alberte

Pó de estrelas is a History of the Universe. Hundreds of stories are born among its images and its voices. From the microscopic birth of life till the final macroscopics. Space litter orbits around the Earth in the last shot. Its length is the amount of time you need to have a coffee, smoke a cigarette and read the paper at the bar of the café, while the frivolity of the TV ads blasts your ears. But the Universe trembles when we take the sound off the publicity and add it to the terrible photographes from the newspaper. Pó de estrelas is a critique of the Society of the Spectacle...

Agnieszka Rajca, violonist, comes back to Cracow to give a concert and on the same occasion re-acquaints herself with her city. Her presence is a breath of cheerful sadness, as a ray of light in the dark Scandinavian skies. Playing her own role, she paints her life with broad strokes: her choice to become a musician knowing full well the kind of passion, meanderings and discipline needed, to the difficult decision to leave for France. The film pursues a logic of transformation, using editing to help past, present and future converge.

Agricola de Cologne
Metropolis: sunday morning, between open end and twilight, between hope and resignation, between following a dream and returning that night to the home town or village outside. Coming from the disco, full of the impressions of that juicy girl or that horny boy, doubtful of whether preserving innocence or following the instinct for an outstanding erotic adventure. It is the moment of not yet knowing, vacillating between yes or no. It is a same ritual each week-end, even if decisions are made once. It is a game between identifying and identity. The work describes the urban landscape as a scenario of a play, where the protagonists are embedded in without any chance to escape. Voice and sound performance by Agricola de Cologne.
