plume9mn51 color stéréo 2015 Australiaby Scott Morrison"Plume" looks to create an ambient gravity in its progression through the blanketed anonymous landscape. The revealed landscape could be anywhere and doesn’t look to make reference or importance in its locale. Rather, the piece looks to act as metaphor for the groundless experience in the search for place, for safety and for home.self-productionself-distributionclip Ghost Tracks5mn17 color stéréo 2015 Japanby Jérôme BoulbèsWandering on forgotten tracks, seeking for a train that is yet to come or which vanished a long time ago. « Ghosts Tracks » is a collaboration with experimental blues/noise musicians Rinji Fukuoka, Masayoshi Urabe and Shizuo Uchida. self-productionself-distributionclip Grant Park8mn color sil 2015 USAby Robbie LandGrant Park experiments with the process of photosynthesis and chlorophyll, which uses the sunlight to print 16mm image sequences onto leaves. The images/leaves are attached to celluloid creating an animation of the Grant Park Atlanta location where the leaves were collected.
The film illustrates the Grant Park landscape and the park’s history through the process of photosynthesis. The film sequence is of scenes I’ve filmed in the locations where I’ve gathered the leaves for printing as well a photosynthesis educational film. The film negatives are contact-printed on to the leaves utilizing the process and then each leaf image will be placed in sequence back onto 16mm clear celluloid for projection.self-productionself-distributionclip Black Maria2mn42 b/w stéréo 2015 Franceby Christophe GuérinIn the Abbey of Graville gardens situated in Le Havre, there is the monumental Vierge Noire which frightened me when I used to cross the gardens to reach the local cinema when I was a child. The totally gratuitous shower scene in this movie was my inspiration, though I was equally inspired by the stop-motion-animated creatures. I simply had to do something with this footage. The result is this video, part of my ongoing Cellular Activity series. self-productionself-distributionclip
