« At Thirty, the Party Was Over » is a response to the contemporary poetry of South Korea. The title refers to a poem by Choi Young-mi. The present speaks to the past and the past speaks through the present to make room for the memories of all that happened.

sadescription incident
1mn27   color   sil   2013   France
by Agnès Quillet
I don’t make any difference between photography and video within my work. Both of them comes from my desire to create images. « Incident » is a portrait of a woman in her interior. Here the image-portrait suffers its own disappearance. In a movement, the mask of reality has torn itself apart, leaving in this gesture only a tear reached by fiction.

sadescription Mirages
9mn50   color   stéréo   2014   Canada
by Isabelle Hayeur
« Mirages » was filmed in a residential development on Montreal’s South Shore and in the surrounding agricultural lands. We are gradually transported from one site to another, going from a fertile meadow to a desolate construction site. Transitory spaces appear, ephemeral places are set up; these metamorphoses evoke the urban sprawl that replaces rural life with suburban conditions. Those landscapes in mutation reflect the upheavals affectingour living environments and our ecosystems. They hold a mirror to the illusion of having the capacity to build when we do not even have the ability to dwell.

sadescription 'FLIPSIDE'
3mn32   color   stéréo   2014   Australia
by David Anthony Sant
This film employs a succession of moving images from similar and dissimilar locations. The resulting project seeks to extract from these locations images of confinement, life, disorder, order, the bleak and the stifling, and then unify the moving imagery through the utilisation of scale, movement and direction.

"ALWAYS SOMEWHERE ELSE" These images evoke the endless wandering, migration in a space where the boundaries disappearand and the borders are vague; a place that can never be reached. The walker steps are multiplied and diluted in the shadow of a random time whose end is uncertain.

sadescription Pets Watch a Good Workout for Dance (April Annuaire)
4mn11   color   stéréo   2013   Canada
by Alain Lefebvre & Sonya Stefan
Lefebvre and Stefan worked together for a year as Annuaire. Initiated in January 2013, Annuaire was a monthly collaboration. Music and video (occasionally film) combine through a panoply of tests and transgressions, triggering short circuits, distortions, glitches, and other happy accidents. “Pets Watch a Good Workout for Dance” was the fourth entry.

sadescription Flower Pot
2mn28   color   stéréo   2015   India
by Aditi Kulkarni
« Flower pot » is a narrative, projecting parallel and relative dimension co-existing in space-time model. It creates an experience of disorientating and dual existence for the viewer, to establish a dialogue between the multiple spaces and time that exist around us.
