Sun is sad12mn50 color stéréo 2014 Franceby Vincent Pouplard"Today in Greece, Sun is sad my friend". Words from an Armenian migrant in search of a better life. He founded it. But it's gone now. Mirages of the sun... I spent my days to roam following unknowns whom I observed. I met people, spoke with hands. i discovered Kaïmos.self-productionself-distributionclip Sgan-Cohen looks at me looking at him looking at me across the decades2mn23 color stéréo 2014 USAby Neil NeedlemanI shot this strand of Super8 movie film circa 1976 in Brooklyn, New York. It features the late Michael Sgan-Cohen, artist, art historian, philosopher, willing viewer of my early experimental films (vimeo.com/neilneedleman), and cheerful participant. Sgan-Cohen was my favorite art history teacher at Brooklyn College. He taught the subject like no other professor at the college—with an extremely deep sense of passion and a strong personal connection to the ideas. When I watch this film (which has become creepier over the decades) I can hear his booming voice and staccato Israeli accent. It should be more than obvious that I thought he had a fascinating face, too. Here's looking at you, Dr. Sgan-Cohen!self-productionself-distributionclip Yes or No6mn09 color & b/w stéréo 2014 Franceby Antony JacobIn July, 2014: improbable marriage on the Old harbor of Marseille... yes or noself-productionself-distributionclip Ton poids sur ma nuque9mn30 color stéréo 2015 Franceby Frédéric LabondeOne morning, I saw a man I’d never seen before, in the building opposite mine.self-productionself-distributionclip Ganesh15mn color & b/w stéréo 2015 Franceby Philippe CoteEach year, the Tamil community from South India and Sri Lanka met to celebrate the God Ganesh The film is a description of gestures, dancing bodies, attendance recorded during this festival, crossing reminiscences of my stays in India.self-productionself-distributionclip Catleyas7mn04 color stéréo 2014 Franceby Siegfried BrégerPerhaps the small musical phrase Vinteuil evoked by Marcel Proust in "Un amour de Swann".self-productionself-distributionclip Tall Trees5mn32 color stéréo 2014 USAby Salise HughesBased on photographic documents from a 1914 bank robbery in the Pacific Northwest of the United States.
